Beekeeping at This Tiny Life

this tiny life

A little something from our bees.

Hey folks! If you’ve found your way here from our latest video, welcome.

We’ve just taken the first honey harvest of the year from our little allotment apiary in Oxfordshire and, for the first time, we’re sharing some of it with you.

There are only 65 jars in this spring batch. It’s light and golden, beautifully floral with a gentle fruitiness, and tastes wonderfully of this particular little patch of the world.

It feels quite special putting something we’ve grown — or, more accurately, the bees have made — out into the world for the first time. We really hope you enjoy it.

Thank you for being here, and for supporting This Tiny Life. There’s plenty more to come from this little corner of the internet, too — we’re only just getting started.

The story

Our first honey harvest of 2026, gathered by the bees from our little allotment apiary in rural Oxfordshire.

The hives sit among allotments and cottage gardens, surrounded through the spring by cornflowers, broad beans, peas, runner beans, oregano, thyme, sunflowers and countless other flowers.

Once harvested, the frames are spun and the honey is lightly strained through fine sieves before being poured into jars. It is never heated, nothing is added, and every jar in this batch comes from the same allotment apiary.
